We have been retained by an UHNW, single-family office in Menlo Park, CA - looking to expand their accounting team.   

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Accounts Payable associate to join an UHNW, single-family office. You will join a world-class team with plenty of opportunities to expand and learn.

Primary Purpose and Function:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate for a private banking team at a single-family office. This role would provide an excellent opportunity for long-term employment on a world-class team. As an experienced AP team member, this employee will perform all duties related to invoice consolidation, allocation, and payment. The ideal candidate will have a background in the private sector and execute all responsibilities with top-tier, white-glove service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Administer accounts payable through various accounting programs and financial information systems

  • Capture invoice data and perform proper code allocation to respective cost centers

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with new and existing vendors

  • Reconcile vendor statements and communicate directly as needed

  • Ensure timely execution of all outgoing financial statements and incoming payments, while adhering to departmental procedures

  • Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues in a prompt manner

  • Assist leaders of the finance department in workflow process analysis

  • Provide all necessary support to fellow staff and leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Experience working in a family office, private banking, or in high-end client services preferred

  • Skilled in information management and all methods of formal communication

  • Ability to work both autonomously and on a team
