A highly reputable family law firm, in Silicon Valley, is looking to procure an experienced Office Manager to oversee their Northern California corporate office operations. This practice is home to a number of extremely accomplished associates, all of whom manage complex cases across the dense social landscape of the Bay Area. The Office Manager will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring seamless management of all non-legal staff and effective cross departmental communication. Stepping into this position will require strong leadership skills, a developed business acumen, and the desire to support those making a direct impact on families up and down the Peninsula.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruiting efforts for all roles and oversee the new hire onboarding process from start to finish

  • Manage day-to-day operations, performance evaluations, salary reviews, and disciplinary action for all non-legal personnel

  • Orchestrate secretary schedules to ensure appropriate coverage is always maintained

  • Plan and organize monthly all-hands meetings in alignment with crucial attendee’s schedules

  • Conduct event and venue coordination for companywide events, including but not limited to, the annual firm retreat, office holiday party, monthly socials, and staff appreciation week

  • Collaborate with HR to understand the full scope of company benefits and conduct annual Open Enrollment meetings

  • Source vendors and negotiate contracts for all office needs; courier services, shredding, catering, supplies, cleaning, etc.

  • Organize training and implement procedures for Life Safety planning, emergency preparedness, and disaster/contingency operations

  • Track expenses and capital budgets on a from a monthly, quarterly, and annual perspective

  • Develop strong financial acumen to accurately forecast capital expenditures and cash flow

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in an administrative or managerial role

  • Experience managing a team of direct reports

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Developed financial and operational skill set

  • Multifaceted and willing to take on many projects at once

  • Understanding of HR procedures and vendor management
