Our client, a pre-IPO start up in the Bay Area, is seeking a Chief of Staff to support the executive team in the management of a 300-billion-dollar annual pipeline. This role will collaborate with organizational leadership to drive change and achieve goals through innovative frameworks and diverse viewpoints. Success in this position requires nuanced EQ and a demonstrated willingness to seize opportunities for the betterment of the firm. The appointed Chief of Staff must derive gratification from the development of diverse teams and provide thoughtful insight to the executive team and the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to reconstruct organizational goals into individual goals, using the cascading goal framework (Goals – what, Methods – how, & Targets – measure)

  • Oversee departmental implementation and usage of proper cascading sequences and framework implementation

  • Partner with the HR team to drive goal transparency and accountability by way of internal systems, scorecards, and leadership check-ins

  • Consult with cross-functional partners across all departments to cultivate change through enablement, planning and execution

  • Drive key initiatives and events to highlight business development, operational excellence, and company culture. Events include but are not limited to; All Hands, Town Halls, QBRs, leadership offsites, board meetings, and investor presentations

  • Facilitate high-stake discussions with key stakeholders; curate detailed presentations from a creative and business-oriented viewpoint

  • Orchestrate the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual company calendar to ensure the timely execution of all critical business decisions and company rituals

  • Maximize scheduling efficiencies to promote operational and financial improvements

  • Develop and formalize the agenda for bi-weekly executive team meetings, manage time allocation over the course of discussion, and provide support on action item delivery

  • Demonstrate a highly developed EQ when handling all aspects of the business

  • Represent the executive team and act as a conduit to the organization at large

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Mgmt Consulting or B2B SaaS, CoS preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

  • Exceptional business and leadership acumen

  • Confident articulating complex processes to diverse audiences

  • Refined communication and facilitation skills

  • Ability to motivate teams and achieve key deliverables
