Position Overview

Our Asset Management client is searching for a Legal Operations Associate to join their team. This opportunity is focused on project and contract management, compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act, and crucial legal operational tasks. You would be engaging with worldwide teams, external counsel, and diverse stakeholders, ensuring streamlined communication and project delivery.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with worldwide teams to effectively track and manage projects and contracts.

  • Maintain and update internal checklists, ensuring they align with the current status of projects.

  • Facilitate communications regarding project status as required.

  • Monitor insurance requests and actively participate in weekly insurance-team meetings.

  • Preserve and utilize form agreements to support various departments within the organization.

  • Liaise with external counsel to establish and manage corporate entities, including the maintenance of related checklists and trackers.

  • Ensure the company's compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act.

  • Represent the legal department's updates and presence on our internal software platforms.

  • Systematically maintain legal files, which includes archiving agreements, organizing digital files, and more.

  • Assist with Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) information requests during diverse transactions.

  • Guarantee compliance with local labor laws, such as updating and posting required workplace notices.

  • Coordinate and oversee the signing of contracts and other legal documents, utilizing both traditional methods and platforms like DocuSign.

  • Efficiently organize and schedule meetings, ensuring smooth coordination among stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in legal operations or a related field.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues across the organization.

  • Proficiency in modern legal software and platforms.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.

  • Sensitivity to confidential information.

  • Ability to read and speak Spanish is a plus.

  • California Notary License is desired but not required.
