Our private equity client in San Mateo is searching for a Family Operations Associate to join their team. This is a unique role that will cover travel logistics, lifestyle management, and event planning. 



  • Be the face and voice of the family when interacting with internal and external stakeholders

  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure care standards and schedule are adhered to at all times whether at home or while travel is occuring

  • Manage travel logistics independently and at times with a third party to ensure airfare, accommodations, and activities align with the lifestyle of the Principals

  • Create detailed plans of action for travel and personal matters

  • Extensive calendaring and appointment setting/management

  • Event planning, budgeting, coordination, and logistics

  • Vendor management and vetting

  • Animal care that includes scheduling sitters and appointments as needed



  • 5+ years of experience as a personal or executive assistant

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Proven ability in regards to travel management and household logistics

  • Polished verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage household staff and coordinate with external teams
