Our client, a prominent venture capital firm in Menlo Park is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to their Chief Legal Officer (CLO). This is an exciting opportunity for a sharp-minded, detail-oriented professional to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the legal department of a leading VC firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the CLO, managing their calendar, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements

  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and presentations with meticulous attention to detail

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including portfolio companies, outside counsel, and regulatory bodies

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of legal due diligence materials, term sheets, and closing documents for investment transactions

  • Maintain and update legal entity management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate governance requirements

  • Conduct research on legal and regulatory matters, summarizing findings for the CLO's review

  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification or experience in a legal setting highly preferred

  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, ideally supporting C-level executives in a legal or financial services environment

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts to various audiences

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with legal terminology, contract management, and due diligence processes

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, anticipate needs, and proactively solve problems
