Our client is a sophisticated venture capital firm located in West Hollywood, California. They manage a diverse portfolio of investments and business entities across various sectors, requiring expert financial oversight and strategic accounting leadership.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the client and its related entities
Oversee complex consolidations of multiple legal entities, including partnerships, trusts, and foundations
Assist in treasury management, cash flow planning, and working capital optimization
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management procedures
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel on financial matters
Provide financial analysis and insights to the CFO and other executives
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and applicable laws
Support the CFO in managing relationships with banks, investment partners, and other financial institutions
Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems and technologies
Qualifications
CPA certification
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior accounting role
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Strong experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions
Solid knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
Experience with family office or private equity accounting preferred
Proficiency in advanced accounting software and ERP systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Strong communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
